Uzbekistan's Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov will pay an official visit to China from August 27 to 29 at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang announced Wednesday.

Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan said Monday that both China and Uzbekistan are committed to realizing national prosperity and people's happiness through reform and opening-up. He said this during his meeting with Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov, who was visiting China from August 18 to 20.

Kamilov spoke highly of the efforts China has made in promoting regional cooperation and peace and stability. He said Uzbekistan is willing to enhance interconnectivity with China and strengthen cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
