Autumn presents oil painting-like scenery in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Trees, grasses and rivers in a variety of bright colors turn the Ergun wetland into a magnificent landscape painting.

The wetland covers an area of 1.56 million hectares. Located on the west side of the Greater Khingan Range, it contains almost all types of ecosystems apart from primeval forest, creating diversity in the region.

The area now has nearly 700 kinds of wild animals and plants and sees 20 million migratory birds every year.
