Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro attended the Brazil-China Business Seminar with Chinese Vice Premier Hu Chunhua in Beijing on Friday.
Bolsonaro is paying his first state visit to China from Thursday to Saturday.
At the opening ceremony of the forum, the two sides vowed to strengthen cooperation and further promote bilateral ties.
This year marks the 45th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between the two countries. In his speech, Hu spoke highly of China's relationship with Brazil, saying it has set a model of cooperation for major developing countries.
"As unstable and uncertain factors are increasing, China is willing to work with the Brazilian side to conscientiously implement the important consensus reached by the two countries' leaders and promote the synergy between the Belt and Road Initiative and Brazil's Investment Partnerships Program," said Hu.
Hu hoped that the enterprises of the two countries will deepen communication and exchanges, enhance cooperation, strive to achieve more mutually beneficial results, and make new and greater contributions to deepening the friendly ties between China and Brazil.
Speaking on the occasion, Brazilian President Bolsonaro said that Brazil attaches great importance to relations with China and is willing to join hands with China to expand cooperation in various fields, thereby pushing the bilateral relationship to a new level. "Brazil will continue to improve its business environment and facilitate personnel exchanges between the two sides," he said.
