Iranian ballistic missiles hit two U.S. military bases. Ain al-Assad airbase is located in Anbar province, about 200 kilometers to the west of Baghdad, housing about 1,500 U.S. and coalition forces. The Erbil airbase is located in the Erbil International Airport in Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdish region.
