The Chinese Foreign Ministry has set up a special column on its website on combating the novel coronavirus outbreak, which provides the latest information on the outbreak and China's containing measures.

This is part of efforts made by the ministry to be open and transparent about the outbreak. Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi has met with World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and discussed the issue in phone conversations with foreign ministers of a number of countries.

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu told foreign diplomats earlier this week that Beijing will fulfill its international obligations and promptly address legitimate concerns of foreign citizens in China.
