All the IELTS tests, an English proficiency exam, scheduled for March in China, will be cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak, according to the IELTS's official Sina Weibo account.
The announcement said registration and test arrangements for IELTS tests after March will be updated via the official platforms. It also said the exam fees will be refunded.
The move came after the IELTS authority canceled its February tests across the country.
Other English proficiency exams required for foreign universities were also cancelled nationwide in February, such as TOEFL, GRE and GMAT.
Previously, many domestic exams slated on February and March have been postponed, including the Tests for English Majors (TEM), the interview for enrolling graduate and doctoral students and art tests in the universities and colleges.
