The CEO of global chemical giant Dow says that he is impressed with China's perseverance and determination to manage the outbreak, adding that Dow will "assist this effort with all we can."

Dow is delivering support to all of those impacted by the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, said its CEO, Jim Fitterling.

The company has been in Chinese market for nearly 100 years, developing a strong commitment to partners, friends, and colleagues throughout the region, the CEO said.

Fitterling said that the company has donated 1 million yuan along with 60 tonnes of disinfectant to help agencies respond to the emergency.

And as Dow's staff in China went back to work earlier this month, the company is vigilant about protecting their health and remain committed to using resources to create more products, Fitterling stressed.

Based on his words, the company is committing to produce more products, such as surfactants which go into gloves and disinfectants that hospitals and medical teams in China need.

He also mentioned that the company is collaborating with many international organizations in a united effort to help overcome the epidemic. For example, Dow is working with international relief organizations to help source additional medical supplies.

"We're interconnected in ways both large and small. And what impacts our partners and friends impacts all of us. And we look forward to a time very soon when we can resume business as usual," Fitterling shared with CGTN.
