Home to more than 700 vertebrates and thousands of plant species, the Qinling Mountains in northwest China's Shaanxi Province are renowned for its amazing biodiversity.
The most famous ones among the local dwellers are the golden takin, giant panda, crested ibis and golden snub-nosed monkey. They are referred to as the "four precious species in the Qinling Mountains."
The flora and fauna have coexisted for thousands of years in the natural sanctuary.
