With a total area of 11.5 square kilometers, Xixi National Wetland Park is the first of its kind in the country.

Hangzhou's City Brain project was launched in 2016 to help the city make plans in areas including public security, transport and healthcare with the use of big data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence, among other cutting-edge technologies.

Xi said that major cities can become "smarter" by using big data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence technologies to modernize urban governance.

The president added that prevention and control work against the coronavirus should continue, while cautioning against large gatherings.

Citing Xixi National Wetland Park as an example, Xi said that the park is only working at 30 percent capacity to prevent large gatherings.

Xi also visited Anji County in Zhejiang on Monday, where he said that China will roll out more targeted measures to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) hit by the COVID-19 pandemic restart production work and develop further.

Xi started his inspection tour in Zhejiang on Sunday, where he visited Ningbo-Zhoushan Port and an industrial park for auto parts and molds in Ningbo.

The tour began at a time when the spread of COVID-19 has been basically curbed in China and life and work are back on track.
