China's Leishenshan Hospital, a temporary hospital especially built for COVID-19, had only 15 patients in one ICU ward by April 9. The hospital in Wuhan has received more than 2,000 patients since opening. As more patients have recovered and been released from the hospital, there is only one ICU ward open for patients.
Two medical teams from Shanghai and Guangdong handed over their work and were evacuated from the ward, with Wuhan University's Central South Hospital in charge of the last ward. After thorough disinfection, all ordinary wards will be closed. The situation in China is continuously improving after months of hard work of medical workers and cooperation from the public.
