City dweller: The red-billed blue magpie with a splendid tail
CGTN

In Nanning Shimen National Forest Park in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, red-billed blue magpies are common visitors. The bird with a splendid tail is widely distributed in southern and eastern China and is well accustomed to city life.

They feed on fruits, eggs, insects and even small birds and snakes. They are very protective of their nests built on trees even if they look somewhat shabby. They even attack humans for invading their territories or approaching their chicks.
