Indonesia is willing to promote major cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, such as the project of Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway, he said.

"We look forward to the early opening of charter flights and the resumption of commercial flights to jointly promote economic recovery of the two countries," he added.

For his part, Wang pointed out the successful convening of the Two Sessions is of great significance, and China will continue to make more efforts to restore the order of production and life while maintaining regular epidemic prevention and control.

"We believe that Indonesia will surely win on both fronts, that are prevention and control against the virus and development," he added.

The Chinese foreign minister further noted that the two countries are important emerging economies and major developing countries and, in this regard, the two countries should work closely together to overcome all disruptions and advance the goal of modernization.

Wang also spoke highly of Indonesia's position in opposing the politicizing of the epidemic and that China is willing to work with Indonesia to strengthen cooperation on multilateral platforms such as the WHO and the G20 to build a community of common health for mankind.

During the phone call with the Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on the same day, Wang also called on the international community to reject stigmatization of China.

Certain countries intended to stigmatize China for a political purpose and to shift blame for their own mishandling of the COVID-19 crisis, he said.

Wang added that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on world order and leaders of both sides should strengthen strategic talks and work together to deal with new challenges.

Shoukry lauded China's success in containing the outbreak domestically and China's contribution in fighting against the global pandemic, and he said the Egyptian government is willing to learn from Chinese experience.
