Ahou village, located in Southwest China's Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, arranges its second profit-sharing event for the villagers. To eradicate poverty, the village cooperative started growing herbs and sheep farming, generating 325,800 yuan (about 46,000 U.S. dollars) in income in 2019. Each household gets at least 1,000 yuan, and households with incomes under the 2,300 yuan per year's poverty line receive more from the cooperative.
