Wuhan Zall gained their second victory of the season after defeating Shijiazhuang Ever Bright 2-1 thanks to two goals from their Ivorian forward Jean Evrard Kouassi during the Chinese Super League (CSL) match on Friday.
Kouassi has been at the club since 2017 and his good performance fired Wuhan to promotion in the last two years.

Even though Brazilian footballer Muriqui put one back in a penalty in the second half, the Shijiazhuang Ever Bright have not managed a single victory in the CSL season so far.

Muriqui started his CSL career as early as in 2010 when he signed a four-year deal with Guangzhou Evergrande until 2014. Then after two years playing for other international clubs, for the Qatar-based Al Sadd Club while on loan from FC Tokyo, Muriqui returned to Evergrande in 2017.
Muriqui then transferred to China's League One club Shijiazhuang Ever Bright on January 4 last year.
Also on Friday, Hebei China Fortune drew 2-2 with Chongqing Dangdai Lifan.
