Huawei launches HarmonyOS 2.0

Chinese tech giant Huawei on Thursday launched its HarmonyOS 2.0, the second iteration of the company's proprietary operating system for its smartwatch, PCs and tablets, Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei's consumer business, announced at Huawei Developer Conference in China's Guangdong Province.

Huawei announced its HarmonyOS platform at its developer conference last year. HarmonyOS, or Hongmeng in Chinese, is a microkernel-based and distributed operating system designed for various devices and scenarios.
