Chinese ambassador: China supports enhanced dialogue between frontier troops with India

Chinese Ambassador to India Sun Weidong said on Monday that the Chinese side supports enhanced dialogue between the frontier troops on both sides to solve specific issues and will stay in touch with the Indian side through diplomatic and military channels.

Sun made the remarks regarding recent media queries on the bilateral meeting between China's and India's foreign ministers.

On September 10, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar reached a five-point consensus on the developments in the border areas as well as bilateral relations.
