Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Wednesday received a farewell call made by U.S. Ambassador to China Terry Branstad.

U.S. Ambassador to China Terry Branstad to retire from his position and depart in early October from Beijing due to personal reasons, the website of the U.S. Embassy and Consulates in China said in a statement on September 14.
