Updated 2020.11.07 10:12 GMT+8

"Enjoying the natural scenery at the hilltop, experiencing the cultural heritage at the hillside, coming across the Huayao Dai people at the foothills," this is a saying from Gasa Township of Xinping Yi and Dai Autonomous County, southwest China's Yunnan Province.

The Huayao Dai ethnic group is known for its colorful clothing and respect for nature. This video shows Dao Xiangmei dancing in the sacred forest of her village, where centuries-old trees are worshiped as gods.
