Fuxian Lake: A 'sea' on a plateau in SW China

Updated 2020.11.15 11:10 GMT+8

Waves of water lapping against the shore, a fisherman walking by with his angling rod on his shoulder – this is not a seaside view but the Fuxian Lake on the Yunnan Plateau. Stretching across Chengjiang, Jiangchuan and Huaning counties in Yunnan Province, the Fuxian Lake is the second known deepest lake in China after the Tianchi Lake in the northeast.
