Donald Trump Jr. tested positive for coronavirus earlier this week and is in isolation, his spokesperson confirmed to U.S. media, including Bloomberg and CNN, on Friday evening.

"Don tested positive at the start of the week and has been quarantining out at his cabin since the result," the spokesman was quoted by CNN as saying. "He's been completely asymptomatic so far and is following all medically recommended COVID-19 guidelines."

He is the oldest son of U.S. President Donald Trump, who contracted the virus last month.
