Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sunday called for efforts to improve developing countries' capability of independent poverty reduction, stressing that development holds the master key to solving poverty problems.
Xi made the remarks when attending Session II of the G20 Riyadh Summit via video link in Beijing.
China is ready to work with other countries to build a beautiful world that is free of poverty and enjoys common development, noted Xi.
Earlier, at the G20 summit side event, Xi called for joint efforts from the G20 to tackle climate and other environmental challenges, and protect the Earth.
