'Bubble ice' appears on river in north China's Hebei Province
On the morning of January 7 in the wetland park of Jize County in Handan City, north China's Hebei Province, the river banks were photographed covered with "bubble ice" in a rare sight. The temperature around the river dropped from minus 9 to minus 17 degrees Celsius overnight. The constant flow of water from the upper stream caused bubbles due to the drop of the river bed. The bubbles were frozen instantly, creating this rare scene along the river.
