Since the earliest days of the pandemic, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention has pulled out all the stops in dealing with the invisible enemy. It is the Chinese CDC scientists that were the first in the world to identify the novel coronavirus and share its genome sequence with the world. CGTN host Tian Wei had an exclusive visit to the high-security Chinese CDC lab. She spoke to Dr. Gao Fu, the head of the agency, for more insights on vaccines and origin-tracing.
