Promoting the Civil Code of the People's Republic of China through learning groups is one of the most important tasks of the Ministry of Justice and All China Lawyers Association, a Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) member said on Thursday.
Zhu Zhengfu, deputy head of the All China Lawyers Association and member of the 13th National Committee of the CPPCC, was speaking at a Member's Corridor ahead of the opening of CPPCC's annual session in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
He said that since the establishment of the learning group, it has promoted a total of 360,000 words in law education to the society through multimedia forms like short videos, podcasts and new media posts.
Zhu said to promote education about the law, legal professionals have to shoulder the responsibility to "teach both accurately and vividly."
"The implementation and education about the Civil Code is crucial to building the rule of law in China," he added.
