The director of the Sanxingdui Site Workstation, Lei Yu, has, for over 30 years, participated in and presided over the field excavations and the preparation of reports for a series of major ancient Shu culture sites and tombs. In an interview with CGTN's ICON, he said he is looking forward to what pits No. 3 to No. 8 may yield, as he thinks they may support a brand new understanding of Sanxingdui and the history of the ancient China's state of Shu.
