Kabul has historically been the political, cultural and economic center of Afghanistan and its largest city, located in the eastern part of the country. According to estimates, it is home to over five million people, but it's hard to be sure in the absence of official data.

The city is known for its great weather, cultural diversity and beautiful bazaars. At its heart is Share-e Naw where stunning architecture is only outshone by the stunning night views.

Nature is also part of the urban design with the Kabul River flowing through the heart of the city, dividing the central bazaars and adding a touch of beauty to this war-torn land. The ancient city is also filled with bazaars nestled along its narrow, windy streets.

Despite decades of fighting and war, Kabul is still shining bright. In parks, families gather under towering trees and the young socialize among lush shrubs and rainbow-colored flowers.
