China has registered a significant research and development breakthrough since a new prototype of a high-speed maglev train clocked 600 kilometers per hour in Shanghai last June. The train was built by China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC) Sifang Co., Ltd. in Qingdao, Shandong Province.
