The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) on Friday said it would remove 25 mobile apps operated by DiDi Global Inc from online stores for data abuse.

The move comes after the CAC said last week that it had notified app stores to remove Chinese ride-hailing platform Didi Chuxing due to "serious" violations of laws and regulations regarding the collection and use of personal information.

Didi Chuxing is the ride-hailing giant's flagship product, but now the fire has spread to the company's other apps.

The apps in question include DiDi Enterprise Solutions and DiDi Chauffeur, as well as those dedicated to Didi's extended services including delivery, camera devices and finance.

The ride-hailing giant raised $4.4 billion in its New York Stock Exchange debut on June 30. The company cited regulatory scrutiny among ongoing risks for its business in a regulatory filing late last month.
