The Type-726 Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC), nicknamed "Yema" or wild horse, is the latest hovercraft independently developed and produced by China. It is equipped with a QC-70 marine gas turbine, and the max speed is 60-80 knots. The Yema LCAC has a maximum carrying capacity of 50 tonnes and can carry a main battle tank, amphibious fighting vehicles and dozens of soldiers. With the Yema LCAC, amphibious assault vessels can stay 40 kilometers away from the landing point and quickly deploy massive combat units. It plays an important role in the People's Liberation Army Navy's amphibious landing operations.
