Twenty-three dramas will stage a total of 64 performances at the ongoing 2021 Wuzhen Theatre Festival. The specially invited plays include remakes of European classics such as "Le Rouge et le Noir" or "The Red and the Black" and some innovative productions by young artists. Meanwhile, 18 creative groups, selected from 571 entries, will show off their acting chops in the Wuzhen Emerging Theatre Artists Competition, one of the festival's major events.
