Kim Jong Un, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), sent a wreath to the Martyrs' Cemetery of the Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) in central part of the country on Monday, reported the Korean Central News Agency on Tuesday.

The tribute by Kim, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, came on the day marking the 71st anniversary of the CPV army entering the DPRK in the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea.

He hailed the strategic decision the Communist Party of China and the Chinese government had made despite great difficulties, which safeguarded the security of both countries and helped write a glorious chapter in the history of DPRK-China friendship.

The DPRK people will not forget the sacrifices and achievements made by all the members of the CPV in helping the country fight the imperialist aggression, he added. He also said the two neighbors' friendship, bonded by flesh and blood, will last forever.
