Editor's note: Hidden World of Birds in City is about exploring a world of birds that usually goes unnoticed in urban spaces. This episode features photographs from Wang Xiaobo, who has been bird-watching near his residential community in Beijing for the past eight years.
During Wang's eight-year observation, despite the sightings of various birds chirping and bouncing among branches in woods or bushes, he was also surprised by some low-flying raptors from time to time. The short distance enabled Wang to take a closer look at these aerial predators in motion, or how they got themselves in fights with birds who usually live in the woods especially during breeding season. Take a look at the following photos that depict their encounters in Beijing.
