Gun violence in the U.S. is extremely concentrated. Over a quarter of all gun homicides in the U.S. take place in neighborhoods that house less than 2 percent of the country's population. Such is the situation in St Louis, Missouri, where much of the violence is concentrated in poor communities of color.
