The tortoise, whose origins date back more than 200 million years, is one of the oldest reptiles on Earth. The impressed tortoise (Manouria impressa) has a distinctive appearance with dented scuta on its shells. This large land dweller is very scarce in the wild across China. Here, two impressed tortoises crawl through fallen leaves in the woodland of the Wuliang Mountains. Watch the video to learn more about them.
