Typhoon Mulan landed yesterday in southern China where heavy rain and gales are expected to whip across most areas. According to data from China Meteorological Administration (CMA), 416 typhoons occurred in the Pacific Northwest in August from 1949 to 2021, with 134 landing in China. The average number is 5.7, ranging from one to 10. Watch the video to learn more about typhoons in August.
