Iran has expressed its readiness to fully cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) according to its rights and duties, the Tehran Times cited Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani as saying on Monday.

"Iran announces its constructive cooperation with the agency as its obligation ... While Iran has obligations, it also has rights," Kanaani said at a televised news conference.

Kanaani said Iran is a consistent supporter of nuclear disarmament and expects the IAEA to act within its responsibilities.

"Naturally Iran expects constructive actions from IAEA and the members of its governing board," Kanaani said.

Earlier this month Iran sent its latest response to the European Union's (EU) proposed text to revive the agreement under which Tehran had restrained its nuclear program in exchange for relief from U.S., EU and UN economic sanctions. The UK, France and Germany on Saturday raised "serious doubts" over Iran's sincerity in seeking a nuclear agreement.

The IAEA board of governors will hold meetings on Monday, with the Iranian nuclear issue being one of the key topics of discussion.
