M5.7 earthquake strikes Taiwan's Taitung: CENC

A magnitude-5.7 earthquake has hit Taiwan region's Taitung at a depth of 12 kilometers, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The quake happened at 1:19 p.m. and no casualties have been reported.

The quake rocked the same region east of Taiwan the day before, and several smaller quakes were recorded in the interval.
