Summer is the most beautiful season at Gahai Lake. Colorful surroundings are reflected by the glistening water. More than 30 bird species share this lush paradise. The bar-headed goose, which makes a round trip every year over the Himalayas, is one of the highest-flying birds. At the lake, they work hard to nurture their offspring. This season of abundance allows them to store energy quickly, so that when winter comes, they're ready to migrate to a far-off land.
