Mengtian, the second lab module to be launched to China's space station later this October, was filled up with propellant on Sunday, China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) announced.

The final major component of the space station, Mengtian, was transported to the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in south China's Hainan Province in early August.

Since then, the general assembly and testing of the lab module have been completed at the site.

The Long March-5B Y4 carrier rocket, which will launch Mengtian, was moved to Wenchang on September 3.

China's space station currently consists of the Tianhe core module, the Wentian lab module, the Shenzhou-14 spaceship and the Tianzhou-4 cargo spacecraft, housing the Shenzhou-14 crew of three members.

All the facilities and equipment at the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site are in good condition, and all systems involved are preparing for the upcoming mission in an orderly manner, the CMSA said.
