France opposes a proposal to build a new gas hub in Türkiye to supply Europe with Russian gas. France has also started sending natural gas to Germany, as Berlin works to diversify its energy source. That's less than two percent of Germany's daily gas consumption. On the other hand, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he had agreed with Russian President Vladimir Putin to set up a gas hub in Türkiye, Turkish news agency Anadolu reported on Friday.
