Blair Sugarman loved studying language from a very young age. He majored in Chinese and Russian studies at Edinburgh University, and went to the Chinese city of Dalian in 2009. Language learning opened a door to a life on the other side of the planet. He moved to China, started a business, and became a well-known face on TV. "One of the things that the show taught me about building bridges between cultures was that you have to keep an open mind," he says.
