Hong Ying, who was born in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, is the author of novels including "Hungry Daughter" and "Moonlight Warrior." She has won many literary awards at home and abroad. She left her hometown when she was young and lived in the UK for many years. Only later did she realize that her stories have echoes of her hometown: "Chongqing seems to have grown deeply in my heart."
