Over the past 10 years, from 2012 and 2022, China's economy has doubled in size. China has completely eliminated absolute poverty by lifting nearly 99 million people out of poverty. All people – men and women, young and old, of any ethnicity, occupation or social level – all participate in the whole process of China's democracy. This underpins the miraculous development that China has been witnessing, and reflects the guiding philosophy that the people are the masters of the country. For China, it is the people who hold the future of the country in their hands.
