Qixian Lake, or Seven Fairy Lakes, lies quietly on the Hulunbuir grassland in northern China. It doesn't compose of seven lakes, but is a collective name for the adjacent rivers and lakes. The lakes provide sanctuary for countless water birds, including many gull species. Watch this episode to find out.
About 'Journeys in Nature': Eastern Inner Mongolia Series
The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is located in the north of China, with a total area of 664,900 square kilometers, adjacent to the three northeastern provinces—Heilongjiang, Liaoning and Jilin, and bordering Russia and Mongolia in the north. In this series, we will embark on a journey of Hulunbuir Grassland, Xilingol Grassland, primeval forests, wetlands and see the lovely creatures living there.
