The vast field in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is a cornucopia for this Corsac fox looking for food. She just became a mother, and is terribly busy preparing dinner for her cub. The corsac fox has keen sight, sharp hearing and an excellent sense of smell. She has to capture the slightest movement of voles, also avoid other predators on the grassland.
About 'Journeys in Nature': Eastern Inner Mongolia Series
The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is located in the north of China, with a total area of 664,900 square kilometers, adjacent to the three northeastern provinces—Heilongjiang, Liaoning and Jilin, and bordering Russia and Mongolia in the north. In this series, we will embark on a journey of Hulunbuir Grassland, Xilingol Grassland, primeval forests, wetlands and see the lovely creatures living there.
