On May 19, Chinese President Xi Jinping met the press together with the leaders of five Central Asian countries at Xi'an International Convention Center.
"I am confident that with our joint efforts, the ship of China's relations with Central Asian countries will brave the wind and waves and forge ahead, add new impetus to the development and revitalization of our six countries and inject strong positive energy into regional peace and stability," Xi said, adding that the summit was a good start for cooperation among the countries.
