Dragon boat races and other folk cultural activities have been held across China recently to mark the traditional Dragon Boat Festival this year. The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional holiday that falls on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar. On the day, people organize dragon boat contests and eat Zongzi (glutinous rice treats wrapped in bamboo leaves). Dragon boat race is one of the most important customs of the festival.
