On the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in southwest China's Yunnan Province, there's a milky river flowing through secluded mountains and dizzy cliffs. During the rainy season, the glacier meltwater carries a great amount of calcium carbonate dust generated by geological changes and flows downstream. Interestingly, the "river of milk" only emerges in the brief rainy season and dries up afterward. It flows all the way down before it stops beyond the valley and forms a shallow "milk lake" which is exceptionally bright and pure against the backdrop of the majestic snow mountain.
