Cui Chenxi became China's youngest Asian Games gold medalist on Wednesday after the 13-year-old skateboarder won the women's street final in Hangzhou.

As the youngest player among Team China's 886 athletes, Cui defeated compatriot Zeng Wenhui, 18, while Japan's 16-year-old Miyu Ito took bronze.

"I did quite well today," Cui said modestly.

In the men's skateboard street event, China's Zhang Jie clinched the gold medal at the age of 16.

Sanggoe Darma Tanjung of Indonesia took the silver and China's Su Jianjun took the bronze.

In women's beach volleyball, Chinese duo Xue Chen and Xia Xinyi claimed the women's beach volleyball gold after defeating Japanese pair Miki Ishii and Sayaba Mizoe 2-0 in the final on Wednesday.

"I think it is the heritage of the Chinese team. We have always adhered to high standards and conducted strict training. That's why we can get China's sixth straight gold medal today," said Xue, who won gold medals at Doha 2006 and Guangzhou 2010.

It was China's sixth straight women's beach volleyball gold at the Asian Games, as they won the event in each edition of the Asian Games since Busan, South Korea, in 2002.

Another Chinese pair, Wang Fan and Dong Jie, took the bronze after defeating Team Thailand 2-0 on Wednesday.

In track cycling, Team Japan triumphed in both the women's and men's team pursuit finals, ahead of Team China, who took silver medals in both events.

Team Hong Kong, China, took the bronze in the women's team pursuit final, while the South Koreans took the men's team pursuit bronze.

Japan's Mina Sato claimed the gold medal in the women's keirin final, ahead of Chinese cyclists Wang Lijuan and Zhang Linyin, who finished second and third, respectively.

In sport shooting, Han Xu, Liu Jiangchi and Wu Yunxuan of China took the gold medal in the men's skeet team event.

Han Jiayu, Xia Siyu and Zhang Qiongyue contributed to another gold medal for China in the 50-meter rifle three-positions women's team event.

Team India took the women's 25m pistol team rapid gold and Team Kazakhstan won the women's skeet team gold.

China's Jiang Yiting won the women's skeet final and Liu Rui claimed the gold medal in the women's 25m pistol final.

Sift Kaur Samra of India took the gold medal in the women's 50m rifle three-positions final.

The 60-year-old Abdullah Alrashidi, a three-time Asian Games gold medalist, claimed the first gold medal for Team Kuwait at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou after winning the men's skeet final.
