"The red star shines, glowing with rays." As he hums this song, 74-year-old Haji's thoughts drift back half a century. As a young man living on the island of Zanzibar, he never imagined that he would be about to travel all the way to China to study pediatrics and acupuncture. The song reminds him of the years he spent there. Although he's retired now, Dr. Haji continues to look after Zanzibar's children.
